A week full of blessings

We had a visit from Bruce and Patti Heywood.  They were in Virginia visiting and babysitting so Robert and his wife could attend a wedding.  We were able to tell them all about serving a military mission. They might decide to do that together.  What a nice visit!

Watermelon and cake for a 4th of July birthday.

We think this is a funny sign to have in our church building window on Sundays.

The highlight of the week is the new baby that joined the family.  Our son and daughter-in-law brought home their new daughter on Thursday.  Happy day!  When all of the legal requirements are met, they will be adopting her.  Her new older brother looks on with admiration.
The blessings are abundant while we are out here serving the Lord and our soldiers.

  1. Isn't it great to be able to visit with friends even though you are on the other side of the country? I didn't know Brother Heywood had remarried.

I like that you included pictures of our new baby ("our" meaning our extended family's). You are right, she is an incredible blessing to us all!

Watermelon and cake--what a great birthday combination. Yummy : )!
