McDonalds for breakfast is always a hit.
Brother Beck recently returned from Afghanistan. Sister Beck was teaching some
of our Sunday lessons. When he returned the ward gave them a joint calling in
the regular ward, so she can't be with our group now. We were delighted to have
them join us for this outing.
Our bus driver, Ray, with his nephew. The nephew is a soldier who recently returned
from Afghanistan.
Four soldiers from one company who strengthen each other.
2 are new members, one RM, one investigator.
We had 33 plus the driver on the trip this time. So we weren't crowded, but that was a nice number.
Chaplain Assistant who is in charge of our chapel building. This is his wife, baby and nephew. We were delighted to have them on the trip also. They seemed to enjoy the whole experience.
Besides the missionaries at the Visistor's center, the soldiers themselves were missionaries. It really warmed our hearts to see them teaching the friends they brought on the trip.
Lunch is make-it-yourself sub sandwiches, fruit, and cookies.
Soldiers are good at roughing it.
The day was warm, but since it was cloudy, not too hot. Pretty nice day for our field trip.
Arlington National Cemetery.
At Arlington Cemetery, soldiers are studying the map behind Elder Elkins to find the
Tomb of The Unknown Soldier.
Golden Corral dinner on the way home makes soldiers very happy and sleepy.
This soldier's wife is expecting twins in a few weeks.
Who could resist this cute little sweet face. He is the son of our Chaplain Assistant.
